Waiting Mode

You know how the worst thing you can say to a woman is, "When are you due?" especially if she's not expecting! Well, I think the second worst is this:
"Oh, I used to be an Obstetrician, are you 5 months now?" and I say, "No I'm due in a week" and they say, "Oh, well you haven't dropped yet so…"
Great! I haven't dropped yet. Just what I want to here!

Today was another errand day and getting things done day. Nate baked bread and built a sand box (need pics) for Mika. I went to Stupid Store and bought more soil, sand (that was the stupid part), healthy type snacks to keep in the freezer for post-baby cravings and a bunch of presents for Mika so that she feels special when the new one arrives. I wanted to keep them a secret but of course the moment I arrive in the door she points to one sticking out of the bag…a magnetic fishing rod and fish. She had fun playing with it in the tub today already.

The baby hammock is done (pics coming soon) and other sewing projects are partly done. I have resolved that they will get done eventually and it isn't the end of the world if they don't. The hospital bag is almost packed and the herbs for the sitz bath are sitting in the kitchen ready to be used. I also discovered that my lovely patch of chamomile growing outside is an amazing muscle relaxant (even drunk cold) and am in the process of drying all the flowers. Who knew that one did not have to take Tylenol to relax?

I still nap almost everyday and then stay up too late. I'm just so thankful that I've learned the art of napping now.

Life is in waiting mode and slow mode. Mika saw Nate rubbing my feet and wanted to do the same. This was too cute for words!

The OB thought you were only 5 months!! I'd say that's a GOOD thing! The comments I get are more along the lines of "are you having twins?" or "look's like you're ready to pop any minute now"... And yes, that picture is TOO cute. Love you!

We are all waiting with you. The expectation is really making me antsy and so I can't imagine what it must be like for you.
The picture is so cute and I love your little servant-hearted daughter. I miss you too much for words.
P.S. Nice new background. I like it a lot.
